It started with becoming a dad.

Nurvia began with the birth of my first son, Oliver.

Becoming a father changed the way I looked at childhood. Suddenly, the world children are growing up in wasn’t something I was simply observing anymore. It was the world my son would soon be discovering for himself.

And it made me think seriously about what I wanted that childhood to look like.

I wanted him to be curious about the world around him.

Children today are growing up surrounded by more screens, content, and digital distractions than any generation before them.

Technology isn’t going anywhere—and it doesn’t have to. But I don’t want the most memorable parts of my son’s childhood to happen through a screen.

I want him to build things.
To ask questions.
To play outside and make discoveries.

To find things he’s passionate about. To use his imagination. To make genuine friendships. To play, create, explore, and learn how to think for himself.

Most of all, I want him to experience the kind of childhood where the world around him is still interesting enough to compete for his attention.

That idea became the foundation for Nurvia.

Creating more reasons to look up.

Nurvia isn’t about eliminating technology or telling families how to raise their children.

It’s about creating another option.

Something a parent can put on the table, bring on a car ride, or reach for during a quiet afternoon that gives a child a reason to talk, think, imagine, notice, and connect.

Our products are designed to encourage the kinds of interactions that can be increasingly easy to lose in a world filled with passive entertainment.

Because sometimes a simple question can lead somewhere a screen never could.

We make products for curious little minds.

Nurvia exists to create thoughtful, screen-free tools that help children engage more deeply with their families, their imaginations, and the world around them.

We’re starting with the Everyday Skills Pack, but the purpose behind Nurvia is bigger than one deck of cards.

As Oliver grows, I want Nurvia to grow too—creating new ways for families to encourage curiosity, conversation, creativity, independent thinking, and meaningful play throughout childhood.

I’m building the kind of products I want available for my own son.

And I hope they help other families create a few more meaningful moments along the way.

Play with purpose.
